IV Conference of Public Policy of Chile
- Friday, October 20, 2017
On October 20th and 21st will be held the IV Conference of Public Policies of Chile in New York City. This event brings together a network of professionals linked to public policies and generates a space for scientific, multi sectoral and pluralistic debate for the development of Chile.
The meeting is already a tradition in the United States, where Chilean students and professionals meet to debate, discuss and share ideas. The first meeting was held in Washington D.C. The year 2014. The successive conferences took place in Boston in 2015 at Harvard University and Chicago 2016 at the University of Chicago. This last one counted on more than 120 participants and about twenty guests, among them two Nobel prizes.
This year Columbia University and New York University (NYU) will host the encounter. The agenda will be marked by six major themes: Education, Gender Equality, Sustainable Cities, Pensions, Constitution, and Migration. There will also be different round tables to expand the topics and a poster exposition section where participants will be able to display their researches and entrepreneurship projects.
The event already has excellent confirmed guests, both nationally and internationally, who belong to organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Center for Studies on Conflict and Social Cohesion (COES), the Center for Public Studies (CEP), The Institute of Public Affairs of the University of Chile, and academics of excellent universities.
