Ms. Kathleen C. Barclay

Kathleen C. Barclay is Principal at Asesorías KCB Ltda., an international strategic consulting firm specializing in business opportunities between the United States and Latin America. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Bicecorp, Banco Bice, Austral Capital, Stars S.A., Geomar S.A. and Banco Caja Social in Colombia.She is also an active participant in cultural and academic matters, with membership of the following bodies: the Editorial Committee of the Diario Financiero newspaper;the Board of Directors of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez; the Advisory Council of the Center for Public Studies (CEP for its acronym in spanish); the Advisory Board of Endeavor Chile; the Board of Directors of Chile Global Angels; and the Board of Directors of the Teatro del Lago.She is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Pan-American Development Foundation (PADF), the Council of the Americas and the US Chamber of Commerce. Similarly, she is a member of the Advisory Council to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), for its Karukinkaproject in Chile.

Prior to 2001, Ms. Barclay built her career for over 23 years at Chase Manhattan Bank (currently J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.), which included assignments in New York, London and Santiago. She headed the Corporate Credit area for Latin America at the beginning of the 1980s, and between 1988 and 1992 was Director of Investment Banking in London, covering Latin American multinational advisory and capital markets. From 1992 to 2000, she was responsible for the Bank’s business in Chile, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions and investment banking services.As Senior Country Officer, she represented the Bank on various Boards of Directors through its Private Equity department. Under her leadership, the Bank obtained a top-three leadership position in Chile for international Mergers and Acquisitions, capital markets and syndicated loan transactions.

Ms. Barclayholds aBachelor of Sciencein Foreign Service from the Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and was elected President of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America(AACCLA)for the 2005 – 2007period. Furthermore, between 2003 and 2005, she was AACCLA Treasurer and a member of its Executive Committee. She is currently Past President of AACCLA.

Shea served as an advisor for entrepreneurship and innovation at the Chilean Ministry of Economy prior to starting  Cumplo, where he serves as CEO for the peer-to-peer lending platform. He graduated with a M.Sc. In Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a M.Sc. In Education from Columbia University, and a B.A. in business and economics from the Catholic University of Chile.

Shea currently lives in Santiago with his wife and 5 children.
